EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE FIRST FRIDAY FILM FESTIVAL!!!
WHAT IS IT?
The FIRST FRIDAY FILM FESTIVAL is a FREE TO THE PUBLIC short film festival recurring every first Friday. We accept submissions year-round from and program work from filmmakers here in Kansas City and around the world. We present curated screenings of short films in conjunction with the world famous gallery walks occurring every first Friday of the month in downtown KC’s arts-rich Crossroads district.
Every screening is roughly 120 minutes with an intermission and admission is always FREE, but it is advised you reserve a seat in advance. In that time you might see four, thirty-minute films, 12 ten-minute films, or any number of possible combinations totaling around 120 minutes of cutting edge local and international independent cinema in the short film form. We will also have an audience discussion to share our thoughts and ideas on what’s screened.
WHEN IS IT?
The FIRST FRIDAY FILM FESTIVAL is a recurring film festival. Festival sessions are on the first Friday of the month, after most of the galleries have closed. The doors to the venue and bar open at 6:30pm, the screening begins at 7:30 and runs until 10pm.
